999 Films is a production company funded in 2012 by two producers and one director willing to join forces to make courageous movies aimed at an international market. We are based in Rome but Italy is not out main focus when thinking at our projects main market. We have a strong background in music videos, advertising and branding and we approach feature films with the same enthusiasm of a teenager but with over 20 years of experience in making compelling, visionary, engaging video contents.
Cosimo Alema since 2000 has directed over 250 music video, establishing himself like the most important director in this field in Italy. He's achieved many prizes for commercial campaigns (Promax, Key Award), directed one short which premiered at Berlinale (Tuttintrusi – 1998) and in 2011 he completed his first feature film “At the End of the Day.”.
Luca Legnani has always worked as freelance producer for music videos and commercials in Italy and in Uk. In 2008 has produced Check-in-Architecture, a project for Venice Architecture Biennale consisting of over 100 short docs on the state of art in Europe. He's the founder of Minema, a small project cinema in Milan and works as content consultant for The Space Cinemas.
Fulvio Compagnucci has produced almost all Alemà's works under the brand The Mob which they funded in 2001. He has produced many musical documentaries (Max Pezzali, Zero Assoluto, Africa Unite) and now he teaches Film Production at IED in Rome.
